You will be treated to good old fashion food and good service these servers move non stop but still keep a warm smile on their faces . If it's filled with locals you know it's a place to stop. I upgraded my order to a Cinnamon Roll instead of toast it was big enough for us to share and bring half of it home ”

“ Was treated to a good, classic breakfast at the Wooden Shoe Restaurant per recommendation by my sister and her friend who attend Hope College in town. I got the omelette with sausage gravy, which was super tasty and not too salty. The star of the meal, however, were the pieces of toast! They were beautifully buttered ahead of time and paired perfectly with the jam! The service is attentive and kind, and our meals tasted fresh despite how quickly we received our food! Overall a great place to stop in for a quick and tasty breakfast. (Also if you have some extra time after the meal, check out the antique store right next door!) ”

“ Visiting Holland, MI, I was looking for a nice breakfast place to start the morning. Does The Wooden Shoe restaurant meet my breakfast craving? Let's find out: Ambiance The restaurant is connected to an antique shop and a bar/lounge. It seemed kind of odd, but with a waiting list, the antique is perfect to spend some time browsing at antiques. The atmosphere of the restaurant is busy and it has some nice decorations in the wall. It is a very busy restaurant so the noise level is kind of high. Service The service was great. The waitress was friendly and thee food came out it a pretty decent time. I guess signing in is a little different but understandable. To sign in you just goto the podium with the sign sheet and sign in. If you have never been there and there is no one to really to let you know, there is a chance to over look the podium and stand around while other people sign in ahead of you. Also, you can not call in to reserve a spot. Food Cinnamon roll This is a pretty big cinnamon roll. The size was about the size of my hand. The roll it self was gooey and fluffy. Luckily we just ordered one to share around the table. HBO The Hashbrown omelette is one of their popular dishes. Since I like mixing my omelette around, I enjoyed it a lot. The contrast of crispiness with the eggs and meat was nice while I got my eggs sunny side up since I like runny yolks. I ordered pancakes for my side. They were okay. To me they were a little more dense than I would like them. They had a nice flavor but i would have like them a little more fluffy. Super scramble My Girlfriend had the super scramble which had diced veggies and a side of toast. She let me had a try of her scramble and it tasted good. All the veggies worked well together. I also had a taste of some of the jam they gave her. The strawberry jam tasted like fresh jam to me. It had a nice sweet strawberry taste but not overwhelmingly sweet. The other foods our party got was the breakfast burrito and a French toast. I can't really comment on them other than they looked good. Overall I would definitely recommend The Wooden Shoe for breakfast/lunch. The food tasted great and the service was good. They have a good challenge there (but I think my girlfriend would leave me if I tried it)... if I am ever around that area again, I would definitely go back. ”

“ When we got to the restaurant, I was a little bummed at the 45 minute wait, with no reservations taken over the phone. My family checked out the antique mall that is attached, and the time flew by as we looked at what could be considered a museum with all of their merchandise. My meal, a hash brown omelette, was incredible since I'm a huge fan of hash browns. It came with your choice of meat, I chose ham. Simply delicious. We also ordered a side of Pigs in a Blanket, delicious! I visit the Holland area often and will definitely be back to this restaurant. ”
